Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring a Product Testing Lab Tech in Monroe,
North Carolina with a well-known industry leader. In this role you
will do hands on physical and mechanical testing equipment. This is
a first shift position. As a Product Testing Lab Tech you will:
Work with moderate work direction and can identify issues/problems
but may need assistance in resolving. Be able to lift a sample of
efire protective products that weigh40-45 pounds. Perform physical,
and/or mechanical tests and observations for research, development,
or quality control of fire fighter protective products. Assists
with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results.
This is a full-time contingent opportunity Estimated Duration 24
months The ideal candidate will have: Good written communication
skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
Experience with programming/set-up of environmental test chambers,
vibration testing, salt-fog testing, and repetitive cycling testing
is preferred. Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work
well on a self-directed team is required. Good mechanical aptitude
and skills as well as experience and specific training in
inspection procedures and/or the product line are required.
Experience in a lab or technical environment is required not
analytical type of work Associate degree with 1 years’ experience
or 3 years of Laboratory experience with a High School Diploma. Pay
Rate: $ 29.77 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate
will be based on several factors, including the candidate's
education, work experience, work location, specific job duties,
