It all begins with you.Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. - Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. - We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.The Funding team directly supports the Funding, Capital and Liquidity (FCL) Front Office. FCL is responsible for managing the liquidity and funding requirements of the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) business line, and entities operating under its umbrella including the Broker Dealer. The primary role of liquidity-risk management is ensuring the availability of cash or high quality liquid assets to support a financial institution's funding needs under both normal and stressed conditions. The Funding Projection team provides intra-day cash and collateral projections to the funding traders in both Charlotte and London. In addition to forecasting cash and collateral balances and movements, the team produces reporting associated with intra-day liquidity for FCL, Corporate Treasury, and other internal business partners. The Funding team's primary responsibilities include:Projecting short-term cash and collateral funding requirements for legal entities under CIB.Implementing tactical and strategic intra-day liquidity processes and reporting.Investigating issues within projections and any variances versus actual activity.Optimizing the balances of cash account balances and the allocation of securities for Tri-Party repo.Team responsibilities will continue to expand in conjunction with the business, industry and technology. The Funding team will work closely with trading to forecast cash and collateral multi-currency positions, investigate variances and perform other day to day functions associated with the projection and allocation process. The responsibilities of the analyst will include:Preparing and validating multi-currency and multi-correspondent bank cash projections for utilization by the Front Office to secure necessary funding.Ensuring that all Front Office projection related inquiries are tracked and responded to expediently.Performing ad hoc reconciliations and data analysis as needed for reporting to internal business partners.Liaising with various operational support groups and trading desks to escalate and resolve conflicts in a timely manner, drive process improvements and support business initiatives.Enhancing intra-day liquidity processes and reporting including partnership in the establishment of Corporate Intra-day Liquidity Management System and Resolution Planning.Identifying opportunities for optimization as well as proposing and implementing solutions to enhance processes, mitigate risk, reduce cost, and increase efficiency.Evaluating current and future needs, and communicating and collaborating with internal stakeholders and technology partners to develop strategic solutions.Monitoring repo settlements and Tri-Party transactions to ensure proper cash and collateral movements.Executing the allocation and optimization of collateral requirements for all Tri-Party repo obligations.Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of capital markets industry experience; or 2+ years of military experience; or a Master of Business Administration (MBA)

      Strong knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative productsExperience in financial services with demonstrated knowledge of operational functions, trade lifecycle and financial products offered in a full-service broker-dealerExperience participating as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in projects to implement strategic technology platforms including writing and executing test cases.Analytical ability with experience capturing, interpreting, reconciling and presenting data to management in a meaningful way.Must possess an exceptional aptitude for problem-solving including the ability to derive the root cause of an issue, recommend solutions and drive consensus on a plan to remediate.Ability to clearly and concisely communicate issues, technical requirements, and vision to various levels of management and support staff.Ability to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities with a commitment to meeting and exceeding deadlines and goals.Ability to plan, manage and prioritize responsibilities as well as adapt to changing conditions and constraints.Experience in cash and collateral management, forecasting and financial modeling.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Expertise or familiarity with data query/data management tools (Access, SQL, VBA, etc.)Knowledge and understanding of loans, securities, Tri-Party repo, and derivative products.Knowledge of liquidity, related constraints, and resolution planning.Experience creating process flow documents in Microsoft Visio.
