Accountable individual for program / product /project delivery of significant risk, complexity, scope, and financial impact for a single large functional area or a combination of small diverse functional areas. Serves as the primary liaison between the business unit and various support partners in achieving business deliverables; includes: planning and implementation of strategies, policies and process advancements. Establishes priorities and drives accountability for assigned initiatives, providing leadership to ensure solutions are designed, integrated and controlled to optimize effectiveness, account for all aspects of risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate. The Business Process Functional Consultant for WFAM is a senior business leader responsible for working closely with the Head of Transformation on leading the execution of firm-wide strategic initiatives - identifying and scoping the initiative, establishing the charter, recruiting executive sponsors, assembling governance models, helping coordinate road maps and project timetables, and tracking key milestones and deliverables to ensure the strategy as contemplated is being executed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Leading, directly or through influence, high-visibility cross-lines of business strategic assessments, strategy development, and long-term strategic initiatives that present significant challenges and/or opportunities to the business.
  • Spearheading efforts to understand, enhance, qualify, quantify, and objectively evaluate proposed strategic focuses and initiatives.
  • Leveraging/collaborating with Client Information and Analytics, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Operations, product development, Marketing, and other key partners.
  • Leading efforts to transition developed strategies into implementation activities. Includes influencing in a matrixed environment to secure organizational resources and partnering with day-to-day business and dedicated implementation resources to ensure implementation success and realization of target benefits. The WFAM Transformation Team, specifically the Business Process Functional Consultant, will be responsible for assisting the Head of Transformation and the COO of WFAM in the operational transformation of the firm with a strong focus on strategic initiative portfolio construction and program management. The Ideal Candidate: This collaborative leader must be capable of thought leadership, developing and enhancing strategic plans and solutions, and leading change. The role demands a persuasive, effective communicator who will position WFAM competitively and influence senior management across multiple lines of business. It requires strong consulting, technology, innovation, strategic planning, and relationship management skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily-matrixed environment with diverse teams. The role requires a passion for developing new strategies and enhancing proposed initiatives follow through on developed strategies into implementation, a unique ability to balance important long-term strategic and short-term urgent priorities, and a personal desire and accountability for positive client and shareholder change. The successful candidate will possess the following:
    • Drive to seek deep knowledge of client and business needs with the proven ability to support and leverage these while developing and advancing longer term strategies
    • Track record of follow through on proposed initiatives beyond approval into and through implementation - demonstrated ability to leverage or be an effective direct member of delivery teams as needed
    • Faculty for guiding discussions at an executive level and presenting to drive organizational change Position open to locations in the Wells Fargo footprint.

      Required Qualifications
      • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services
      • 5+ years of leadership experience

        • Ability to drive and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment
        • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
        • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
        • Ability to create and deliver dynamic presentations
        • Experience developing and executing communication strategies by collaborating with large, matrixed teams
        • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
        • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
        • Investment industry experience
        • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
        • Experience in product management/development, program management, strategy, marketing and/or related position in a consumer-oriented, technology-dependent environment in financial services or related industries

          Other Desired Qualifications
          • Experience developing innovative ideas and putting to use new technology for a change-driven organization

            Job Expectations
            • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
