PURPOSE
Widow and Door Service Technician. Under some direct supervision
the Maintenance Technician II is an intermediate level position and
is responsible for conducting window and door troubleshooting and
repairs related to warranty issues. Performs duties under the
direction of the Location Manager and Department Leads.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshooting malfunctions.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; and hand and power
tools; examining form and texture of parts.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by
using hand tools, levels and straightedges.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine
preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Communicates needs related to equipment, parts, and supplies
inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level;
anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and
expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as
needed to accomplish job results.
Provides maintenance information by answering questions and
requests.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and
summarizing information and trends.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing technical publications; establishing personal
networks.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and
communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with
procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as
needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no initial supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed
below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability
required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Certificate from a vocational school in maintenance technology
preferred;
2 - 5 years of related experience
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license

Language Skills-The ability to read a limited number of two- and
three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences

carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in
standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth
perception
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather
conditions.Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and
risk of electrical shock.
Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
