specified.Job Description SummaryAssist the Operations Manager with
overseeing venue operations, managing the facility and inventory,
and maintaining a high level of customer service for clients.
*This is a part-time position averaging 15-20 hours per week.
Working hours will vary depending on scheduled events at The
Barn.Job DescriptionEssential Functions:
- Responsible for providing exceptional service to all guests in
a friendly, efficient manner.
- Review and implement requirements outlined in the Banquet Event
Order (BEO) forms.
- Assist with the physical set-up and break-down of event
facilities, as needed (lifting, moving, and arranging tables,
chairs, furniture etc.).
- Store equipment and materials neatly.
- Refresh function areas during functions: tidy up rooms,
restock, and tidy restrooms.
- Clean and mop all rooms of the facility, as needed.
- Empty trash from all function areas, as needed.
- Assist with vendor and consultant relationships.
- Assist with monitoring planned vendor deliveries.
- Assist with oversight of vendor and guest compliance with
policies.
- Inspect and report all maintenance issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.Required
Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Responsible and Dependable.
- Previous experience in banquet set-up is a plus.
- Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within
constantly changing priorities.
- Enthusiasm is a definite must-have.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels
and from various backgrounds.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary
language (English) used in the workplace.
- Work schedule varies and may include covering shifts - AM/PM,
weekdays, evenings, holidays and weekends.Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, bend, climb, kneel, and extend
reach.Environmental Conditions:
- Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
