Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Product Lab Assistant to join our organization. The Product Assistant is responsible for supporting the work of the Product Development team and for maintaining clean, organized, and well supplied labs. This position requires support on the two Product Development labs, although the primary work location will be in the PD Liquids Lab.Primary Job Functions:Coordinate and execute all incoming Sample RequestsAssist with the basic preparations for Product DevelopmentRecord keeping administrationReceive samplesPerform sensory evaluations and demosMaintain clean and well-supplied lab and Product Development storage areasRun errands to obtain items utilized in the product development lab and processMaintain Sample Library inventoryCreate samples by following known recipesAssist with serving during sensory testingSample packing: grinding coffee, weighing into pouches, sealing on the nitrogen sealerPrep and serve products for sensory testingFinished good ordering for project workPick up cases from Ramdin (as-needed)Clean urns and coffee potsShip sample requestsPull green samples for roasting requestsPerform other duties as assigned--QualificationQualifications include:--Previous entry-level experience in a product development or quality assurance lab a plusHS Diploma or equivalentDetailed oriented with excellent organization and follow-up skillsMust have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projectsMust be able to follow simple directions and have common senseMust be able to work in limited space that is shared by others, sharing equipment and counter space Basic math skills requiredMust appreciate the confidential nature of all product development information, such as recipesMust work neatly and able to keep the lab clean (customer ready)Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organizationAbility to use Excell, WordEqual Opportunity Employer / Vets / Disabled
