Job Description:
Overview:
Under general direction, the End User Computing Architect is
responsible for the architecture, design, installation,
maintenance, configuration, and integrity of the End User Computing
environments including printers, desktops, laptops, thin clients,
and mobile devices. Works with IT personnel, vendors, consultants,
and customers for implementation of new or revised functions.
Responsible for researching industry trends and developments and
how to incorporate them in Novant Health's vision. Duties include,
but are not limited to, installation, deployment, performance
evaluation and tuning, technology research/evaluation, architecture
design, capacity planning and mitigation for the End User Computing
environments.Works directly with the Novant PMO and vendors to
architect and quote various End User Computing solutions for the
Enterprise. Responsible for understanding the technical design and
operation of the End User Computing systems. Responsible for
coordinating with third-party vendors for maintenance to existing
environments and planning for additional capacity and upgrades.
Responsible for the architecture and design of new additions to the
End User Computing environments and providing technical expertise
in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective systems
solutions that meet business application requirements.Information
Technology Services team members are responsible for securely
managing information systems throughout their lifecycle, including;
knowing what information systems are within their scope of
responsibility, understanding what sensitive data is stored,
transmitted, or processed on those information systems, enforcing
the security principles of least privilege and least functionality,
knowing what events may constitute an information security
incident, and understanding their role in security incident

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma/GED required. Associates degree
preferred. Experience: Minimum seven years' related experience
required. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Minimum of four of
the following certifications: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE; Citrix
CCA, CCP, CCE; VMWare VCA, VCP, VCIX, VCDX; Cisco CCT, CCDA,CCNA,
CCNP, CCIE; CompTIA A+ preferred. Refer to the Life Support
Training Policy NH-HR-3096. Additional Skills Required: End User
Computing: Thorough knowledge of End User Computing Operating
Systems, Virtualization Technologies, Active Directory Domain
Management, Network and Storage Technologies. Experience in
Production Server environments supporting and maintaining End User
Computing Infrastructure that are critical in scope. General: High
degree of professional poise, presence, and personal integrity.
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple
responsibilities. Take responsibility and demonstrate ownership of
projects, tasks, and issues. Identify and prioritize organizational
needs. Identify, assess and report on issues that affect the
organization. Strong attention to detail, communication skills,
organization skills, and analytical abilities. Ability to work with
all levels of personnel. Manage heavy workloads and meet deadlines.
Understand and implement corporate security standards that comply
with enterprise audit security policies. Understanding of IT
fundamentals and project methodology. Understanding of system
integration concepts and methodology. Understanding of virtual
computing concepts and practices. Expertise in practical
application of methods used for systems analysis and design.
Ability to apply a critical thinking process to achieve a positive
outcome. Demonstrated detailed knowledge of DisasterRecovery,
Business Continuity and Highly Available systems. Willing to work
non-standard and extended hours. Ability to drive/travel to
multiple locations/facilities as needed.Additional skills
preferred: End User Computing:Core Services - Active Directory,
DHCP, DNS. Application Virtualization - AppV, XenApp,
ThinApp.Desktop Virtualization - Vmware View, Citrix
XenDesktop.Device Management - AirWatch, SCCM. General: Strong
technical knowledge of VMWare. Powershell scripting skills. Strong
technical knowledge of computer systems security. Strong technical
knowledge of TCPIP networks and virtual-LAN tagging. Familiarity
with health care systems software needs and requirements. Knowledge
of ITIL, PCI, HIPPA and other Healthcare related computing
standards. Knowledge of complex industry licensing
requirements.
