Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27157! Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele

Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg experience required.
License: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: - Experience with
trachs, chest tubes, IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound
vacs, and drains. - Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and
perform central line blood draws. - Experience with non-titrating
drips (Heparin, Lasix, Protonix) is required; Cardizem and
Amiodarone experience is preferred, but training will be provided.
Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical
Surgical/Telemetry unit. The unit has a total of 20 beds, with both
medical and surgical patients admitted. Common diagnoses include
CHF, COPD, kidney, liver, GI, respiratory issues, infections, and
wounds. Patient ratios are typically 1:5. Support staff includes
one CNA for each half of the unit and a charge nurse who may also
take patients if necessary. Nursing staff has access to phlebotomy,
respiratory therapy, and hospitalists available around the clock.
Telemetry monitoring is provided with bedside monitors linked to a
central monitor. The electronic medical record system in use is
EPIC. Weekends are scheduled on an alternating basis, with holiday
expectations set at 50% of holidays within the contract. Requests
for time off can be approved for up to 7 days. Nurses are expected
