working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Charlotte,
North Carolina, 28204! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of
experience required, preferably in neuro. License: Active state
nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH.
Must-Have: - Must be able to titrate LEVO. - Neuro stepdown
experience is required. - Experience in cardiac monitoring and
interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential. - IV therapy and
phlebotomy experience are required. - Knowledge of feeding tube
care and management. - Experience in pre/post neurosurgery care is
necessary. - Must adhere to call-off policy. - A teamwork approach
is required in all interactions with patients and staff.
Description: This position involves caring for patients in an
intermediate care setting, with a focus on neuro patients as well
as medical intermediate patients. The average patient ratio is
1:3-4. The unit will max out at 24 patients. Candidates will
provide care for a specialized neurological population.
Responsibilities include management of patients with aneurysms,
craniotomy, CVA, and other neurological conditions. Nurses will be
expected to manage ventilated patients, chest tubes, and other
respiratory needs. Ongoing and effective communication with
interdisciplinary teams is crucial to patient care. Candidates must
be able to work weekends, with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts
required every six weeks. Floating to other intermediate care areas
may be required, along with critical care settings. Employees are
expected to follow all policies regarding patient care and
