working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Burlington,
North Carolina, 27215! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:

Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required
License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
required; NIH preferred Description: Mandatory questionnaire
required prior to offer. Candidate must be informed about the job
description. Candidate must be flexible with scheduling. Candidate
must understand the client has a zero-tolerance policy for
tardiness and unexcused absences. No barriers should prevent the
candidate from completing compliance on time. Candidate must be
aware of the Pass/Fail EKG exam required for all RNs. Must have
Cardiac Progressive Care experience and be comfortable with a 1:5
patient ratio. Three 12-hour night shifts are required, with
weekend rotation and holidays as needed. Staff are scheduled for a
6-week period based on departmental need, patient work intensity,
skill mix, and previous assignments. Previous Charge RN experience
preferred. Use of Rapid Response Teams is preferred. Nurse
Assistants are available 24/7, and an RN secretary is present from
7 AM to 11 PM. Skills required include interpretation and
management of dysrhythmias and telemetry on the unit monitoring.
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization and management of
peripheral lines and PICC lines is necessary. Candidate must be
able to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, administer procedural
sedation, and perform chest tube management. Focus on cardiac
patients like those with congestive heart failure, acute coronary
syndrome, and arrhythmias. Secondary focus includes patients with
respiratory issues such as COPD and pneumonia. The unit comprises
30 private beds and provides care around the clock. Rooms are
remotely monitored. The nurse-to-patient ratio is generally 1:5,
increasing to 1:4 with drips or BiPAP. Compliance documents must be
fully completed by designated deadlines. A valid nursing license
must be submitted with application. All travelers may be required
to float to different facilities if necessary. Passing the EKG exam
is a requirement for all RNs, who are allowed two attempts. Modules
required for orientation are non-billable and average 2-4 hours. 5
