Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Surgical Technologist position is available in a dynamic operating room environment in Charlotte, NC. This contract role offers 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with an average of 36 hours per week. The role requires excellent operating room experience with a minimum of two years in the specialty area, including orthopedic, general, robotic, urology, plastics, and other surgical cases. Final interviews are conducted by the manager, and candidates must be prepared for call rotations that include weeknight and weekend calls with a 30-minute response time, supported by available sleep rooms. Qualifications & Desired Experience: - Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist education program - BLS certification required; national certification preferred - Minimum 2 years operating room experience, including scrub experience in orthopedic, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastic surgeries - Ability to respond promptly to on-call requirements Responsibilities: - Assist surgical teams in a busy OR with 13 operating rooms plus procedure rooms performing approximately 45 cases daily - Support patient preparation, maintain sterile fields, and manage surgical instruments - Collaborate with OR assistants, anesthesia teams, charge nurses, and reception staff - Utilize technology such as EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors - Participate in a 1-week orientation on the main OR and comply with scheduling expectations, including call rotations and holiday coverage Location Insight:Charlotte, NC, is a vibrant city known for its dynamic healthcare industry and diverse surgical specialties.
