Job Description:
Southern Health Partners (SHP) is seeking a dedicated PRN
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the
Cleveland County Jail, located in NC. This position requires a
flexible, compassionate nurse who is committed to providing
superior healthcare in a secure correctional environment. The role
involves working day shifts on an as-needed basis, offering a
unique opportunity to contribute to public health while working
within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to cost-effective
healthcare solutions and patient care excellence. Administer daily
medication and treatments per physician orders and nursing
protocols. Conduct initial health assessments and participate in
the care planning process. Record medical history and symptoms, and
maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Monitor, record,
and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. Coordinate
with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to assess, plan,
implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Ensure compliance with
all healthcare regulations and maintain security of controlled
substances. Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on acute care
nursing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability
to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational
and multi-tasking skills. Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
license in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification required. CPR Certification preferred.
