Reidsville Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for motivated, clinically skilled assistants who thrive in a fast-paced ER and outpatient setting , are confident in triage , and take pride in delivering high-quality patient care while working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. In this role, you will: Perform outpatient and ER triage, assessing patients and prioritizing care appropriately. Provide exceptional patient care in the exam room and treatment areas, supporting both inpatient and outpatient cases. Perform phlebotomy, place IV catheters, collect lab samples, and run in-house laboratory tests. Assist with and monitor sedated procedures, outpatient treatments, and hospitalized patients. Carry out veterinarian-directed treatments accurately and efficiently while maintaining detailed medical records. This position is ideal for a self-starter with strong technical skills who is comfortable in a dynamic ER environment and committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to every patient. Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a 5 x 8 schedule and availability needed Monday - Sunday . We're looking for someone to work from 12pm to 8 pm with the weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
