have a valid nursing license. Certifications: BCLS, AWHONN
Intermediate, NRP Must-Have: Experience circulating in the OR.
Competent in immediate newborn care. Ability to perform sterile
vaginal exams. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and
cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the
unit may result in a cancel. Minimum patient ratios are 2:1. This
unit has an average of 20 births in 24 hours and 30-40 admits. The
unit sees around 40 visits per day and has 20 rooms. This position
will accept 13 to 26-week contracts. The shift schedule is 12-hour
nights, from 18:45 to 07:15. There is no call requirement. Floating
may be required as needed within the women's unit. Every other
weekend is required, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week
schedule. The patient diagnoses include obstetrical patients 16
weeks and greater for all intrapartum care. Care is also provided
for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients. The unit is very
fast-paced and has a higher acuity than might be expected. Double
labor assignments are a daily occurrence on this unit. Candidates
must have experience with more than 300 births per month. The
appropriate candidate must be comfortable floating based on job
description with no restrictions or special requests. Requirements
