Registered Nurse (RN) | Trauma Intensive Care Unit Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,161 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - CTICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years in similar level CTICU License: Active nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience required Experience with high level cardiac surgery patients with devices ECMO, Impella, IABP Ability to present on patients once per shift at 1500 and 2030 Description: RN position in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. Facility has over 900 licensed beds and a Level 1 Trauma Designation. Pediatric trauma and teaching hospital accredited. The unit has 14 beds with an average daily census of 11 patients. Patient types include cardiac surgery, ECMO, orthotopic heart transplant, and ventricular assist devices. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Support within the department includes a CNA for the unit and a receptionist on weekdays. Charge nurse usually free floats. Phlebotomy services are available as needed. An IV/VAT team is available 24/7. Respiratory therapy and hospitalist staff are also available 24/7. Telemetry monitoring is not available. Technology includes EMR (Epic), IV Pump (Alaris), medication dispensing (Omnicell), and monitors (Philips and Edwards). Unit-specific equipment includes ECMO, IABP, RVAD, LVAD, and Impella devices, along with ventilators. Unit culture emphasizes teamwork and proactive care. Scrub color required is navy blue.
