Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity Position: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (07:30 AM - 04:00 PM) Experience Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology - Travel experience is not required Certifications: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ARRT or RCIS Certification required - AART Advanced Certification preferred* - CCI RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) preferred* - CCI RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred* Skills: - Accurate monitoring of patients - EKG lead placement (preferred) - Room circulation - Scrub duties, maintaining a sterile field - Vascular studies and procedures including: - Carotid Stenting - Genitourinary studies and procedures including: - Catheter/drain exchange - Internal/external biliary drainage - Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram - Renal artery stent placement - Ureteral stent placement - Additional skills like kyphoplasties and biopsies Work Settings: - Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization Lab Scheduling Details: The position involves block scheduling with call required on a weekly basis, specifically every third week, including weekend coverage. Pre-approved time off requests are limited to two. Patient Age Groups: - Adolescents - Adults - Geriatrics Special Procedures/Unit Details: Assist providers in performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including: - Stenting for STEMI and urgent/emergent procedures - Cardiac procedures requiring specific patient monitoring and reporting Equipment Used: - Toshiba Cath Lab - GE Innova IR Lab - GE MacLab - Maquet Intra Aortic Balloon Pump - Medtronic/Boston Scientific/CSI Atherectomy devices - Boston Scientific Angiojet - Philips Ultrasound/IVUS/IFR - Pneumbra Thromblysis Working Conditions: The team will consist of three staff members, including at least one Registered Nurse (RN) on each team. Medication administration is performed by an RN only. Expect urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures. Callback times will vary based on procedure type.
