Key Job Details – Cardiac Telemetry RN - Location: Salisbury, NC 28144 - Unit: Cardiac Telemetry - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend to 26 weeks) - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15) - Hours per Week: 36 - Start Date: November 17, 2025 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1700 - $1750 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period - Orientation: 36 hours (must be available every day during week one) - Self-Scheduling: Yes, with leadership oversight Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac telemetry, cardiac nursing, or similar clinical setting - First-time travel nurses encouraged to apply - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Compact State (required at start) - Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Clinical Skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, pre/post cardiac procedures, PCI - Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start - Experience with Epic charting system preferred - Comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:5-6 in a fast-paced healthcare environment - Ability to float to other hospital units or affiliate facilities as needed - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required - References: Two manager/supervisor references from the past 12 months preferred Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities - Provide nursing care for adult patients with cardiac and stroke diagnoses, including pre/post pacemaker implantation, cardiac catheterization, and cardiac interventions - Administer and titrate cardiac drips (Cardiazem, Dopamine, Amiodarone, etc.) - Monitor and interpret telemetry and pulse oximetry readings - Perform IV starts and manage pre/post procedure cardiac patients - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more - Float to other units based on census and clinical skill set - Maintain accurate documentation using Epic (Dimensions) and follow SBAR communication protocols - Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions, including care for COVID-positive patients - Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and high turnover with support from nursing team leads Discover rewarding healthcare jobs in Salisbury, NC and experience a supportive work environment.
