assignment in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a member of our team,

Qualifications:/n/n /n/t - One year of recent experience as a PICU
RN/n/t - Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations/n/t
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification/n/t - PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC
certification/n /n/nPreferred Qualifications:/n/n /n/t - ACLS
(AHA/ARC) Certification/n/t - CCRN Certification/n/t - Other
certifications and licenses may be required for this position/n
/n/nSummary:/n/n The PICU Registered Nurse provides advanced
specialized care to critically ill infants, children, and
adolescents in high acuity settings. This role includes
comprehensive patient assessment, implementing complex care plans,
administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary
healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a
fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The position requires strong
pediatric critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment,
excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the
highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics in
pediatric intensive care. /n/nEssential Work Functions:/n/n /n/t -
Explain procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and their
families to ensure understanding, cooperation, and emotional
support during critical situations/n/t - Administers prescribed
medications and treatments in accordance with approved pediatric
nursing techniques and protocols/n/t - Prepares and operates
advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, central line
setups, and hemodynamic monitors, while assisting physicians during
treatments and examinations/n/t - Continuously observes and
evaluates patient conditions, records significant findings, and
promptly notifies physicians of critical changes or adverse
reactions to treatments/n/t - Monitors and interprets vital signs
and other clinical data to detect deviations from normal,
initiating rapid interventions when necessary/n/t - Responds to
life-saving situations based upon pediatric nursing standards,
policies, procedures, and protocols specific to intensive care/n/t
- Initiates a patient education plan according to the
individualized needs of the patient and family, as prescribed by a
physician and/or hospital policy/n/t - Document all relevant
history and physical assessments for assigned patients accurately
in medical records/n/t - Perform other duties as assigned within
the scope of practice/n/t - Adhere to hospital safety protocols,
infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards/n
/n/nRequired Essential Skills:/n/n /n/t - Critical thinking,
service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills/n/t
- The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language
is required/n/t - Ability to read/comprehend written instructions,
follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills/n/t -
Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about,
move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending/n/t -
Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of
personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive
attitude and professionalism/n/t - Technical/Motor Skills - Ability
to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about
when assisting with procedures and/or using department
equipment./n/t - Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with
frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting
deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close
supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from
other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity
schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail/n/t -
