qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Chapel Hill, North Carolina,
27514! Pay Information $1,950 per week About The Position Job
Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: One (1) year of
nursing experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered
Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life
Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
Must-Have: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of
Nursing Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care
consistent with professional standards. Reports and is accountable
to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and
delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital
setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of
self. Attends education programs based on identified learning
needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to the patient
population with assistance. Assesses readiness to learn of the
patient, family, and caregivers. Assesses the developmental level
of the patient and factors affecting the ability to learn.
Identifies expected patient outcomes and seeks guidance as needed
in revision of the plan of care. Participates in discussions with
members of the interdisciplinary team in evaluating patient care.
Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.
Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems,
including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects
of care. Performs bedside point of care testing as required for
patient care. Utilizes organizational and nursing standards,
policies, and procedures in the delivery of care. Organizes and
prioritizes care according to patient and family needs. Consults
with appropriate resources in a timely fashion regarding patients
with complex care issues and unusual teaching needs. With
assistance, develops goals to promote professional growth or
minimize limitations. Achieves goals and objectives within an
identified time frame or renegotiates with a supervisor.
Participates in the development and achievement of unit goals and
performance improvement activities. Effectively uses communication
systems. Participates in promoting cost-effective care. Gives
feedback to co-workers. Promotes a safe, clean, and secure
environment for all. Recognizes data from complex situations to
determine priorities for care. Synthesizes assessment data into a
meaningful whole prior to communication to others. Assesses and
anticipates discharge needs of individual patients and families.
Develops relationships with families that promote their ability to
advocate for the patient and their own needs. Collaborates with
patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care. Makes
use of available multidisciplinary resources in planning care.
Identifies and addresses cultural and ethnic issues in planning
patient care. Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks for patients
with complex problems. Reads journals that contain studies or
articles that may be applicable to practice. Brings ideas and
questions to the staff for assessment of applicability.
