It all begins with you.The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Our guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.Reporting to the Head of Credit Cards, Retail Services and Rewards Marketing, this leader will play a central role in running credit card acquisition, taking a broad view to acquisition efficiency and effectiveness across channels including digital, direct mail, branch, ATMs, and phone. -This leader will oversee the acquisition marketing budget and is accountable for ensuring effective planning, budgeting, forecasting, controls, and customer-centric targeting across channels to drive acquisition results. - This leader will manage a team of approximately eight marketing professionals whose skills span credit card marketing, offer management, process management, targeting, forecasting and reporting. The leader is expected to work in a highly matrixed organization and have the ability to influence at various levels of the organization. Maintaining the highest levels of operational control is critical.The leader in this role will have an exciting opportunity to lead an area of growth at Wells Fargo. He/she will heavily influence the go forward marketing strategy for consumer credit card acquisition, with an objective of efficiently acquiring new credit cards both by deepening relationships with existing Wells Fargo customers and bringing new customers to Wells Fargo. This leader will have the opportunity to gain significant leadership experiences and senior leadership exposure.Leadership responsibilities are as follows:

  • Marketing strategy: collaborate with peers (acquisition channel and product leads) to identify growth opportunities for credit card acquisition
  • Marketing budget: manage overall acquisition marketing budget, optimizing allocation to maximize NPV across acquisition channels and programs
  • Forecasting and planning: - manage monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting routines, including reconciliation against forecasts vs actuals; maintain an always ready prioritized roster of incremental initiatives
  • Campaign execution: provide centralized campaign execution support for initiatives that span channels, to improve efficiency
  • Team leadership: lead a team of approximately eight team members
  • Market research: - in support of acquisition strategy, ensure competitive intelligence and market research is sourced and leveraged across the team, in collaboration with the Market Research team
  • Collaborate and work closely with peers across credit card acquisition who manage channels and product strategies; partner with Marketing Centers of Excellence, Insights and Analytics, Finance, Risk, and Product Management partners
  • Manage operational risk: - ensure documented processes and controls; identify opportunities to improve quality, output and efficiency for acquisitionAs a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:
    • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
    • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.This highly visible position can be located anywhere in the Wells Fargo footprint and does not offer relocation assistance.

      Required Qualifications
      • 7+ years of marketing experience
      • 4+ years of management experience
      • 5+ years of financial services experience



        Other Desired Qualifications
        • Deep understanding of consumer financial services along with emerging trends in acquisition. NOTE: experience at a top-tier credit card issuer is preferred.
        • 7+ years' experience in business/marketing strategy and analytics
        • In-depth knowledge of card business; ability to direct and leverage high order of analytics; in-depth understanding of card economics and risk characteristics
        • A detail- and process-oriented mindset
        • A highly effective, consultative leader with an executive presence and personal credibility as a result of demonstrated integrity, business management experience, sales and financial management acumen, and effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills
        • Goal minded and able to motivate a team and mobilize matrix resources to accomplish objectives through demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present and discuss information in a way that persuades, educates and enhances understanding at all levels. -

          Job Expectations
          • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

            The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
