The Wholesale Business Process Management team focuses on the implementation of BPM principle across Wells Fargo. - By leveraging BPM, we pinpoint and analyze problems to move forward on a more efficient and effective path and deliver value to our business, customers and stakeholders.It's an exciting time to be a part of Wells Fargo's Wholesale Banking Team as we transform our organization to be simpler, stronger, and smarter. - The Process Engineer Manager 3 role is under the Wholesale Business Process Management (BPM) team and will report to the Process Engineering Manager. - Business Process Management (BPM) is a management discipline for defining, measuring, improving, and governing business processes so that Wells Fargo can deliver consistent, desired outcomes for our customers; manage our operations efficiently and effectively; and strengthen risk management and compliance. The Wholesale Business Process Management team focuses on the implementation of BPM principles across Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking lines of business. - By leveraging BPM, we pinpoint and analyze problems to move forward on a more efficient and effective path and deliver value to our business, customers and stakeholders.The Process Engineer Manager 3 role manages matrixed, multi-level teams focused on process engineering. Organize, lead, and facilitate cross-business, cross-entity, and frequently enterprise-wide redesign initiatives that encompass an end to end analysis and future state redesign requiring specialized knowledge or skill critical to the redesign effort. Provides overall direction for establishing and identifying design/redesign requirements, priorities, risks, and deadlines for assigned initiatives and ensures alignment with strategic plan. Partners with senior leaders to allocate and coordinate resources and determine appropriate staff levels in concert with engineering initiatives. Ensures effective integration of initiatives with the financial, technological, and process systems used or planned by the organization. Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality. Coaches multiple teams in optimal use of LEAN/Six Sigma process and tools. Drives business awareness of quality/process methodology and application/opportunities. Develops and delivers effective written and verbal communications. Influences and collaborates with peers and senior leaders to strategize change, remove cultural barriers, overcome silo focus, identify alternatives, and resolve competing philosophical approaches.Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics and/or engineering); or LEAN/Six Sigma Black belt and 12+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics or engineering)
  • 3+ years of management experience

    Desired Qualifications
    • BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, or physics
    • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
    • Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Analysis software such as Minitab
    • Facilitation skills such as Helix
    • Change Management skills such as Prosci/ADKAR
    • Knowledge and understanding of Rapid Process Automation software such as Blue Prism

      • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
      • Ability to lead, present, and obtain buy-in from large stakeholder groups spanning staff team members through senior leadership -
      • Demonstrated ability to translate complex engineering concepts and approaches into clear, concise, and simple directives and instruction for team members, business partners, and executive leaders -
      • Demonstrated ability to facilitate effectively in either a face-to-face or virtual environment -
      • Proven experience in developing and implementing process improvement strategies, validating positive financial results through the establishment of performance tracking capabilities
      • Demonstrated ability to execute and lead through others on process improvement methodologies with emphasis on Lean principles -
      • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and adjusting activities effectively

        • Wells Fargo Business Process Management Advanced learning level or Wells Fargo Business Process Management Intermediate Knowledge Check and external LEAN/Six Sigma Black Belt within 1 year of job start date.
