Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring for Shipper/Receiver I in Greensboro,
North Carolina As a Shipper/Receiver I, you will: Using material
handling tools such as forklifts and standard lifts to load and
unload carriers as directed. Knows and executes applicable
training, policies and procedures related to the operation of these
tools for safe transportation and delivery of materials in
distribution centers and/or manufacturing plants, always using
appropriate tools and personal protective equipment. Documents
arrival of shipments and enters the event in the database, along
with the corresponding receipt transactions in SAP for payment of
purchase orders to suppliers. Physically verifies that the part
number and quantities of the received product match the information
on the shipping guide and/or invoice. Generates corresponding
labels and sorts the material by business unit and type of material
for efficient storage. Stores the material in the rack location in
the corresponding area according to the business unit and type of
material using the appropriate equipment: order picker, turret
truck, standard lift, scanner and/or SAP mobile computers. Picks
components for manufacturing product or for customer orders with
the use of the appropriate material handling equipment. Receiving
of Finish Goods from Manufacturing plant with the use of the
appropriate material handling equipment. Lifts and moves boxes as
required during work to ensure efficient handling and storage of
materials. Performs other activities as needed by the operation.
This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity. Schedule: 2nd shift - 2pm
to 10:30pm The ideal candidate will have: High School/G.E.D.
education and 1 year of relevant experience Strong customer service
skills and the ability to satisfactorily resolve issues. 1-2 Years
