Purpose of Job * This is a hybrid role that will optimally sit
in our San Antonio Home Office or in our regional hubs in Plano, TX
or Phoenix, AZ. Consideration may be given for highly competitive
candidates in Charlotte, NC, Tampa, FL or other locations. *
The IT Product Engineer Executive leads the product engineering for
all workforce experiences and manages the execution of the
information technology operations activities, including computer
operations, data and operations support. This role leads and
manages the financial and operational impacts of the IT operations
teams for IT Security, Web, Native Mobile, Application Programing
Interface (API) Management, Transaction/Container Management, and
DevOps capabilities. This role sustains USAA's business information
technology systems effectively and efficiently to ensure lines of
business have predetermined availability for operating. This role
establishes and executes strategies, operational policies, key
functional objectives, and collaborates across the enterprise to
meet the company's objectives for productivity, availability, and
performance as well as introducing new technologies to facilitate
employee productivity and new channel functionality for the Member,
while understanding and effectively managing the associated risk.
This role has executive responsibility for annual IT Ops budget
development for the above domains, actuals to budget analysis, and

Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively
identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for

Manages the implementation of an operating model with standards,
policies, and Service Level Agreements that met organizational

regulations, and supervisory guidance, including those related to
consumer protection, including ensuring policy exceptions are
promptly and effectively assessed and escalated.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and monitoring an
internal control environment, including information systems and
preventative and detective controls, to effectively manage material

Bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology, information
management, or equivalent field) OR 4 additional years of related
experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu
of a degree.
10 years of progressive experience in a technical discipline with a
proven track record of leading comparable programs (e.g. complex IT
infrastructure, services, and systems).
6 years of people leadership experience in building, managing
and/or developing high-performing teams.
Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders,
influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic
Executive-level business acumen in the areas of business
operations, industry practices and emerging trends.
Experience in infrastructure planning, project management, design,
deployment, and system life cycle management.
Experience managing multiple large technology supplier
relationships and agreements (SOWs).
Proven technology, organizational, and financial problem-solving
Experience managing organizational budgets and capital
Experience in inspiring, leading, and defining vision, strategy and
Experience assessing and leading complex process change.
5+ years of experience in building and designing new products
and/or services across multiple lines of business.
5+ years of experience leading software development teams.
Experience in infrastructure planning, project management, design,
deployment and system life cycle management.
Advanced degree or industry certification such as MBA or MS.
Process improvement experience and/or certifications (e.g.
Information Technology, cloud management, devops management,
Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Six Sigma, Agile).
