Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.

considered. A K-12 Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing
education is needed for a full-time, on-site contract position in
Monroe, NC. This role involves delivering high-quality, inclusive
instruction aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of
Study and supporting students through effective collaboration with
staff and families in a school setting. Key Responsibilities: -
Deliver Special Education services tailored to IEPs for a caseload
of approximately 1012 students - Develop and implement lesson plans
with differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs -
Conduct screenings and evaluations to inform educational planning -
Participate actively in the IEP process, including setting present
levels, goals, and services - Monitor academic progress and manage
classroom behavior effectively - Maintain accurate and timely
documentation, including progress notes and IEP summaries -
Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, students,
and families to foster a supportive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience: - Valid NCDPI Deaf and Hard of
Hearing Professional Educators License (submission of an active
license screenshot is required) - Demonstrated expertise in
teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within a K-12
educational setting - Strong understanding of Special Education
laws and IEP compliance - Ability to collaborate effectively with
multidisciplinary teams and families - Experience in developing
adapted instructional materials and assessments Location: Monroe,
NC Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, school-based schedule
Contract Type: Current School Year (CSY), On-Site Only This
