Job Description:
Marriott International, a renowned leader in the global lodging
industry with a portfolio of over 8,000 properties across 139
countries, is seeking a diligent Maintenance Engineer I to join our
Engineering & Maintenance team. This role is integral to
maintaining the high standard of operational efficiency and guest
satisfaction that Marriott is known for. The successful candidate
will be responsible for performing routine and preventative
maintenance and repair procedures on hotel buildings, mechanical
equipment, and utility systems. Perform routine and preventative
maintenance on hotel buildings and a wide array of mechanical
equipment. Identify and resolve issues with electrical systems,
plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems to prevent disruptions
to guest comfort and hotel operations. Collaborate with the
maintenance team to schedule and conduct regular inspections and
health & safety audits. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies
and guest service requests. Maintain accurate records of all
maintenance work completed and materials used. Follow established
health and safety protocols and contribute to the maintenance of a
safe working environment. Strong knowledge of building systems
including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in using tools and equipment necessary for routine
maintenance and repair. Good communication skills to effectively
interact with team members and guests. HVAC certification
preferred. Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or
equivalent is a plus. Any certification in electrical or plumbing
work is beneficial.
