Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility Inc. is hiring a Production Controller for our new Customer Service shop in Lexington, NC. This role is pivotal to our manufacturing operations, ensuring the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of production schedules. Acting as a key liaison between materials management, order management, and production teams, the Production Controller helps maintain seamless workflows and meet critical delivery timelines. With a strong emphasis on proactive problem-solving, inventory accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration, this position supports the high-quality production of our state-of-the-art rail vehicles. The role reports directly to the Customer Service Production Manager.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Release work orders on time to meet the production schedule.
• Plan production efficiently to ensure business requirements and objectives are achieved.
• Run daily reports to assess material availability for work orders and escalate any critical shortages to the Customer Service Shop Production Manager.
• Independently resolve issues related to production, inventory planning, and forecasting.
• Collaborate with Order Management to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Close work orders promptly and accurately.
  To thrive in this role, you have:
  
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supply chain or production planning role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems; SAP experience preferred
  • A tenacious and assertive approach, with the ability to escalate issues promptly
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Proven problem-solving skills to quickly identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in processes

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $65,400 - 88,300. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
